Tarek Lakhrissi (b. 1992, Châtellerault, FR) is a French-Moroccan artist whose practice spans video, installation, drawing, and poetry. Grounded in literature and nourished by pop and visual culture, his work examines how language, desire, race, and power shape bodies and subjectivities. Through symbolic and affective forms, he constructs speculative narratives that unsettle dominant representations and foreground visibility, vulnerability, and otherness. Recent and notable exhibitions include Palais de Tokyo, Paris; Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst, Zurich; the 22nd Biennale of Sydney; the Julia Stoschek Collection, Berlin and Düsseldorf; WIELS, Brussels; the Louvre, Paris; Centre Pompidou, Paris; Hayward Gallery, London; Haus der Kunst, Munich; Institut du Monde Arabe, Paris; Lafayette Anticipations, Paris; KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin; Manchester International Festival; Museum Tinguely, Basel; HKW, Berlin; ICA London; Shedhalle, Zurich; Fondation d'entreprise Ricard, Paris; and the Quadriennale di Roma, Palazzo delle Esposizioni, Rome. His works belong to public and private collections including the CNAP (FR), Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo (IT), Lafayette Anticipations (FR), Migros Museum (CH), and the Defares Collection (NL).He teaches at the Academy of Fine Arts (Kuva), Uniarts Helsinki, and has previously taught at ZHdK, Zürich; ENSBA Lyon; and HEAD, Geneva.
